When preparing a wedding, price is a main factor for many people. Weddings can be extremely pricey,
costing many thousands of dollars, and even with parents pitching in, many couples discover that cutting corners in places that won't be apparent in the final product is something that is essential. The way that a lot of couples manage that is to take a "do it yourself" attitude to many aspects - decorations, invitations - and, yes, even favors.

One advantage of creating your wedding favors on your own, aside from cost savings, is that you are much more free to personalize them to the special attributes of you and your fiance - if you have unusual interests, or hobbies, or any particular thing that defines your life together, then you can build wedding favors that surround that specific theme.

Or, as an added alternative, you could build homemade candles or soap in aromas and colors that go with the theme of your wedding.

There are countless sites about weddings, wedding planning, and even the smaller, narrower niche of just wedding favors themselves. Also, ensure that you get varied specific types of websites when you are looking on the net - they each have their own distinct attributes to offer. Wedding blogs, wedding message boards, and wedding shopping sites which allow commenting can each add in a different way to your examination and brainstorming process. What's more, don't overlook the old ordinary place that brides have been searching for inspiration in for many, many years - bridal publications! These publications are filled with excellent ideas that you can make your own. Lastly, if your wedding has a certain theme, remember to look through sites and publications that are about the topic which is the theme of your wedding. If your wedding has a ocean theme, for example (which is incredibly trendy), then you could look through surfing publications. And if you are throwing a destination wedding, then travel publications or publications and sites about your exact destination could help to spark excellent ideas!
